A perfect snack to share with a friend on a fall afternoon: Lyonnaise St Marcellin (pronounced san mahr-se-LAHN) cheese, in its own little terra-cotta pot, baked with a slice of Bayonne ham on top.
Bake uncovered in the oven at 350F for about 10-12 minutes until the top is soft and gives to the touch.
Toast some cranberry-walnut bread and dig – or rather dip – in.
Also tremendous with some shallot or onion marmalade on the side.
