When you are jonesing for a snack this afternoon, reach for two ingredients you may not usually put together – strawberries + peanut butter.
I like using whole wheat wraps because of their nuttier taste but you can use whatever kind you like to make this simple and healthy snack.
You’ll need:
- 1 large wrap
- about 5 large strawberries
- 2 heaping tablespoons of crunchy peanut butter
- a sprinkle of fleur de sel (if you want)
1. Grill/warm the wrap – I like doing this right on the stovetop over a low flame (similar to charring a pepper, for example) but you can do it in a pan as well.
2. Core and dice the strawberries. Spread the peanut butter on the wrap while it’s still warm so it melts slightly and is easier to spread evenly.
3. Layer the strawberries over the peanut butter. I like to sprinkle a tiny bit of fleur de sel on top too. Cut in half and enjoy!
