When I was on Maui earlier this year, I was lucky enough to meet Hollie Petrus so, I wanted to share a little bit of her story with all of you.
Hollie is an inspiration to fellow female entrepreneurs. She is both a dreamer and a doer, and that’s why she has quickly built up a successful business with her food wagon called Brekkie Bowls.
I think we can all find a lot of parallels in Hollie’s story of success.
Hollie is a certified golf trainer and moved to Maui from upstate New York five years ago to pursue a fitness career while dreaming of writing her first novel. Her local fitness and surfing community encouraged her to keep pushing her limits, both in the gym and outside of it. In December 2016, Hollie bought a wagon that she transformed into a food truck, serving surf-inspired and health-minded breakfasts of acai bowls, juices, and smoothies.
Hollie has relied on her intuition and energy to keep pushing through logistical and bureaucratic challenges that often surround small businesses.
And – the part that I, personally, perhaps, find the most inspiring – is that Hollie keeps pushing to educate herself and inform and better her business. Every night before bed, she makes sure to read an article on each of the following topics: health, recipe, and business/entrepreneurship.
Give Hollie a follow on instagram and get inspired by the spirit of aloha and the delicious treats she creates every day!
