The love story of Gautier and Ashley and their perfectly executed croissants baked in L’Appartement 4F (Apt 4F) right here in Brooklyn had captivated my heart like that of many other French pastry aficionados and diehard romantics.
I was so thrilled to try more of their pastries through the Butter of Europe collaboration with the most exciting French bakeries in NY. You can try more of their croissants soon too, as the duo behind L’appartement 4F get ready to open a brick and mortar location of their very own. (sidenote: check out their Kickstarter!)
What makes French butter different? It is richer and creamier, which you can tell just by the color! If you missed it, here is my earlier piece on the subject.
Needless to say, butter is really a way of life and such an essential ingredient, especially to baking.
Now, excuse me while I tuck into this basket of goodies – I am sure I will share it with Henry who also adores croissants!
