A reminder for everyone to go to the Waterloo quarter food festival, which is running until the end of the month!
Today, we attended a wonderful and educational cheese tasting at Greensmith’s on Lower Marsh Street. Did you know a stilton in winter can look very white when you cut it open and then turn blue literally right in front of your eyes?
There were French blues, Italian robiola, luscious dolcelatte and pungent stilton.
Heaven for a cheese-lover really.
Greensmith’s is a great place to do any of your produce shopping as well. Thanks for all the staff for a lovely time!
Later, there was a Jazz night at the Waterloo Brasserie but it looked a little too busy so we popped over to a participating Italian restaurant, Paradiso, on the Cut for free prosecco and various risotto & gnocchi. Delicious! And all a great way to support local business which you just got to love.
