I always thought that one of the many fantastic parts about a visit to the Imperial War Museum & the Imperial War Rooms was picking up the recipe cards that described the very creative recipes women came up while under heavy rationing. The Ministry of Food exhibition has just opened and is a great look into 1940s life in the UK.
The cafe of the museum is now also serving a special ‘austerity menu.’ Not sure how I feel about that but may be worth a try in the name of ‘food criticism’!
