This time of year, especially, reminds us to be extra thankful, and loving, and giving, whenever the opportunity presents itself. You may have read my earlier post about No Kid Hungry and their 2016 Friendsgiving campaign. I am happy to say that we have raised over $700 for their program through a Friendsgiving dinner I hosted this past Sunday.
As I said to our friends and guests, I am so proud and so thankful to each of them for giving their time and consideration to such an important cause. No child should grow up hungry and every little bit that we can do, whether it’s through Share Our Strength and their school breakfast programs or any grassroots efforts more locally, can help.
Here are just a few pictures from the dinner before all of the guests arrived – it was a tight squeeze around the dinner table, but the more, the merrier!
For dessert, there was the triple apple cake and this pumpkin pie with a meringue top!
I was so happy to have you all! ps. There were no leftovers 🙂

Thank you, Mimi! My friend who is a florist helped with the arrangements and I was so happy about how they turned out.

I’m so glad it turned out so well – what a lovely meal! And it must feel wonderful to have raised so much for a good cause.
