It is that part of the season that I like to call Baking Weather.
If you’re looking for me, you will likely find me nesting, baking, curling up with a good book or a favorite movie.
The snow is falling softly outside… or you’re just cuddling under a fuzzy blanket dreaming of something delicious to bake. So here are some of my favorite ideas for holiday baking:
Pie
Chestnut and chocolate pie because indulgence is the name of the game this holiday season.
Mini mince pies and Mini-sherperds pies because everything is cuter in miniature.
Cake
Coffee cake with maple and bacon – if you’re going for it, let’s go all out!
Quatre quarts pumpkin cake with cinnamon icing – still going strong.
Salted caramel tarte tatin – let’s mess (a little) with a classic.
Cookies
Almond tuile cookies – I want to see how many of these you can eat!
Strawberry sugar cookies (dairy-free!) – so good and SO GOOD for you. Mostly.
and… if you don’t feel like “baking,” after all…
Vanilla-almond riz au lait – back to that indulgent feeling.
Happy holiday baking!

They all look gorgeous! I’ve been baking quite a bit this year, but I don’t know if I’ll get to everything on my list. I can’t believe it’s the middle of December already.
