If you’re anything like me, you 1) Miss Paris terribly 2) Breathlessly watched all 5 episodes of Lupin on Netflix already.
Inspired by the character of Maurice Leblanc’s novels, the series follows the adventures of Lupin in the 21st century – Omar Sy plays Assan, who is trying to seek justice and make his mark in the world, often following the example set by master thief Arsene Lupin, the hero of his favorite childhood books (I won’t tell you more, just in case!)
Recently, Explore France hosted a FB Live walk through some of the Paris sites featured in Lupin. I am linking to it here. It certainly made me want to revisit my own photos from the Louvre or the Jardin de Luxembourg. I also added the Musee Nissim Camondo to my list, from seeing it featured in the film.
Parts of the series were set in Normandy, and it made me reminisce about the bracing breeze and the beautiful sights there as well. You can find more Lupin shoot locations listed here!
And as we all daydream about traveling again and sitting in the Tuileries, remember that you can always consult the Guides section for my little tear sheet guide to favorite Paris spots. I think I need to add a few new ones now!
