If I can help it, I will be having this right about every other day this summer:
What is it? It’s chendol, a Malaysian and Indonesian dessert, made up of a delicious combination of coconut milk, green ‘noodles’ (usually derived from the pandan leaf) and palm sugar. Red beans, glutinous rice, grass jelly, creamed corn, and shaved ice are usually also added.
Oh my god, this is so great. And the fact that I don’t necessarily have to go all the way to South East Asia to get it is an added benefit.
