I am off to Paris, finally, and will be back with reports of all the latest and greatest. I am most excited for snow and croissants au beurre every day for breakfast (have you read my VRAI article about the best croissant in Paris?).
Last time I was in France, it was a few weeks before our wedding, and I did not eat any bread or pastries the whole time – a silly fun (but was it.?!) fact for you. I am kind of mad at myself for letting that happen, but it seemed worth it at the time.
Bottomline: it is never worth it to go to France and not eat bread. I have a brand new cinnamon bun place to check out on my list, as well as seasonal galettes des rois from various bakeries to taste test.
UPDATE: They will tell you – don’t go to Paris in January, and they will be wrong. Snow magic!
