Just making my way home from the isles of French Polynesia – what a magical multicultural place, full of warmth and hospitality that is worth traveling halfway around the world to find.
The vistas are breathtaking, and the mixture of French and Polynesian and Tahitian cultures is fascinating.
The markets are full of fresh fruit, floral oils and, yes, the famous Tahitian vanilla that is perfuming my entire duffel bag right now.
The amateur florist and explorer in me also had a field day – there are so many adventures to seek out throughout Tahiti and Moorea.
… and every little shop around the corner has fresh baguettes in the morning. I topped them with fresh avocado or local guava jam.

Gorgeous photos! And I’d be stuffing my bag with bottles of vanilla to bring home, too.
