Jet lagged and slowly adjusting to life away from beaches, waterfalls, poke trucks and acai bowls.
The islands of Hawaii provided the perfect respite – a full breath of fresh, salty air and a big dose of Vitamin D.
It was also the longest non-working vacation/trip that I have taken in recent years, and it was much needed. I feel refreshed and relaxed and a bit out of the city element!
It will make for a bit of a change, but after waving “bye!” to vacation, I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things here in New York.
Not least of all, cooking in my own kitchen again and working on a wonderful story about Maui for the VRAI magazine summer travel issue.
As part of researching the story, I got to visit an amazing honey maker, a grassroots start-up called Hunny Girl, that I will also highlight here on the blog, later in June.
Those Maui rainbows are really special, but we have pretty spectacular sunsets here at home too, don’t we?
{p.s.} As ever, many more snaps of our adventures over on instagram!

What a great time you must have had. Do you have any pages left in your passport for stamps. 😀

Haha they have stopped adding in extra pages, which you used to be able to do and which was very useful!

I’m looking forward to seeing your feature about the honey. Honey so infinitely variable and so rooted to the place where it’s produced.

Coming up shortly! thank you, Teresa:)
