The storm is just about barreling down on NY, and I hope all of you in the wider region are staying safe.
Maybe we will have a pantry raid post in the new few days but for now, I am prepared with a gas stove, lots of matches, soup, a roast chicken, and lots of kimchi (strange but real essentials).
I was lucky enough to be able to make it to a lovely celebration in Boston yesterday where we had the most gorgeous cake. Filled with buttercream and fresh strawberries and decorated with delicately sparkling roses.
Wedding showers and tea parties are a great combination!

Wow.. that is quite the stunning cake! I love the colors of the roses.. and the flourish on the sides! Some day I will be able to do this:D I am hoping you are safe.. what I’ve seen on television is not good.. I’ll be praying for all on the East Coast!

I do hope you have come through the storm without any problems. After watching hours of CNN I almost cannot imagine anyone anywhere near the region who hasn’t been affected, if not by power outages, transportation troubles! You’ll have to let us know how things are for you. But your attitude is great…cake! And beautiful cake! 🙂
It was a scary time… finally back at home now that we were able to come back today.
