Having spent a magical week in Rhode Island, it is back to the hustle and bustle of city life, which I’ll admit, I sort of missed, in between the easy days on the beach, the lobster rolls, and the leisurely reading of my Quarterlane picks.
This was the perfect getaway – blue skies, ocean breezes, seaside walks, and delicious seafood all within an easy drive from New York.
This was my first time in Watch Hill, and I absolutely loved the hydrangea-lined blocks, the smiling locals, and the pretty vistas seemingly wherever you looked.
If you caught any of my Instagram Stories from our trip, you may already know this, but our favorite lobster rolls and Rhode Island Clam Chowder (which comes in a clear broth rather than a creamy broth like New England Chowder), were at Bay St Deli. I got my daily cup of joe from the lovely girls at Ten Sandwiches and enjoyed dinner at the 100 year old Olympia Tea Room.
The town is the very definition of quaint and the old carousel is something to experience.
I’m looking forward to coming back and hope you get to visit Watch Hill, Rhode Island too!
