This spiced pear cocktail is seasonal, warming, and delicious.
And it is going to make staying in with friends this weekend for game night that much more cozy and enjoyable.
I love using spiced syrups in drinks – they bring in that added layer of flavor. Ginger, chai, pear layer together seamlessly. This spiced pear cocktail makes me think of crunchy leaves, crisp air, and the winter sun. Luckily, there are still some beautiful pears and apples at the market!
Use whatever pear nectar you prefer. I used this not too sweet French one from Alain Milliat (in the US, it is available at Williams Sonoma).
Happy Friday! {ps.} I am trying to shoot some more video for the site so, stay tuned!
- 1 oz vodka (I used Tito's)
- 0.5 oz pear nectar
- 0.5 oz chai tea syrup or concentrate
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 oz cava or prosecco
- Into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add chai syrup (concentrate), pear nectar, lemon juice, and vodka. Shake well.
- Strain and serve over a few ice cubes. Top with cava or prosecco.
- Garnish with a cinnamon dusted pear slice or candied ginger. Or dip the rim of the glass into water, then cinnamon, before filling.

Sounds great. I had a wonderful cocktail in Berlin made with a similar concentrate where they used just drops. Where did you find yours???

The chai concentrate? I bought it at a kitchen supply/goods store here in NYC, but it is this brand: https://food52.com/shop/products/2629-chai-tea-turmeric-concentrate?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIyf6Ms96P2QIV3oSzCh3UegkfEAQYASABEgKzDfD_BwE
