For fear for repeating myself – sometimes the simplest things are the best things. This week’s FFwD salad is so deceptively simple:
- local strawberries
- sugar plum tomatoes
- bocchini cheese
- a chiffonade of fresh basil
- a sprinkle of fleur de sel and olive oil
and you have a taste of summer on your plate.
We’re at the end of the strawberry season already in New York so this is a great way to enjoy the last of the berries.

Delicious! Do you guys have tomatoes yet? I’m jealous if you do.

You must be a little south of us, because strawberries were just really taking off last weekend Upstate!

Yes, these tomatoes definitely not local! Long Island strawberry season is basically done:(

The salad looks so cute with the bocconcini! Our strawberries here have finally started, just in time for this salad.

Thank you, Teresa! Enjoy your strawberries.
