Summertime in Provence is ripe with the smell of honey, lavender, and tomatoes.
And then there is the salt of the sea and the sea marshes that whiffs over with the late morning breeze, as well.
Away from the coast, I’m back for a visit to the farm in Les Baux and the goats (who have grown up quite a bit since last month!). But I’ll be honest, I’m actually back just for the golden apricot jam.
And if I happen upon my favorite mango ice cream dessert along the way, well, that’s even better.
Apricots from the Okanagan, here in BC, are starting to show up in the markets, along with the rest of their beautiful tree fruits. All the markets are fragrant with fruit now.
I’m not sure which I’d rather – apricot jam of that lovely mango ice cream. Both seem like a good reason for a return visit!
I think the jam has lasted me marginally longer haha… But I’m finishing off the jar, as we speak, with breakfast.
Hey if there is a mango ice cream along the way, who can resist right? Delicious looking summertime 😀
Cheers

I definitely did not do a lot of resisting haha. Thanks, Uru!
Enjoy summer to the fullest!
Thanks, Bam! It’s my favorite time, but it always seems to fly on by.
Beautiful photos ! Provence is gorgeous! I would have loved the apricot jam too.
Thank you, Jo – I already ate all of it!! Whoops 🙂
Dreaming of Provence, lavender farms and goats now! Beautiful little snapshots, as always!
All seems very far away now haha 🙂
I’ve not been to Provence in the summer but I’ve been in late September and in spring. I know you had a wonderful time and ate wonderfully while you were there. I love both mango ice cream and apricot jam.
It was another beautiful trip! It’s such a perfect place to re-engage with all of your senses (smell, taste, touch…)
