Sharing some stunning shots from my week spent at Villa Lena in Tuscany.
Villa Lena is a super unique agrotourism destination and artist residency program located on a sprawling estate in the province of Pisa. You can stay and enjoy it as a boutique resort hotel far removed with the hustle and bustle of every day life. Or you also can partake in the creative workshops, classes, and open studios hosted by the guest artists in residence.
You can also go on long hikes through the olive groves and visit rabbits, pigs, and other animals living on the farm. The Villa produces and sells its own olive oil (super smooth) and wine. Most of the food that is cooked at restaurant San Michele and eaten by the guests and residents also originates from Villa Lena’s own gardens and farm.
Truffle hunts, cooking classes, and yoga practices are also on offer. Overall, I found Villa Lena to be a beautiful place to unplug (there are no tvs etc.) and engage with the various creative and traditional practices taking place all over this ancient, restored estate. But the sunsets above the Old Toiano Park were probably my favorite thing of all.
