Tuiles are meant to resemble little roof tiles and while they are delicate buttery cookies, they stack neatly, like the tiles that they are, and fit into mason jars for easy storing, shipping, and festive gifting.
Read my story & recipe over on VRAI Magazine and surprise someone who is far away from home this holiday season with a sweet treat.

I have yet to master tuiles. Yours are gorgeous and I agree with Laura above, so is your photography.

I think the general trick is to make them thinner/use less dough than you would think! Once I got the hang of rounding them out with the back of the spoon, it became a little assembly line of tuiles. And thank you so much for the kind words!

This sounds very delicious but I would have to have it early in the day or I wouldn’t get a good night’s sleep…caffeine and I have a hard time getting along. 🙂

It’s probably healthier to have it earlier in the day anyway haha! though, I’ll be honest, I’ll take one anytime 🙂 Thank you, Karen!
