A fantastic stopover on our way through Camargue yesterday at the Resto du Paty where I enjoyed a Camembert roasted with figs and nuts in a wood-burning oven. The garlic and parsley combination was also delicious and much more savory, perfect for spreading on seedy country bread.
The Camargue itself was everything I imagined – I had been dying to come here for years – a refuge and a little piece of natural paradise, full of farmland (rice), white horses, bulls, flamingoes, and salt marshes.

You’ve got me craving this.. I wonder how easy it would be to build a wood-burning oven in my yard? Wouldn’t that just be the best!! I’m glad you enjoyed your trip.. it looks like a place I would love to see as well! xx

Don’t think it’s too easy, but it can definitely be done! A dream of mine too:) xx
