A perfect day for an après ski or après snowy outdoors drink to warm you up.
Served hot, this chai punch will help you stay cozy, and I love the addition of the fresh fruit and berries.
Tips: Using Sorel, a great hibiscus liqueur, adds a punchy note of cinnamon, clove, and spices.
And how great are these vintage Russian tea cups?
Chai spiced punch
You’ll need:
(for each serving)
– 1 cup masala chai tea
– 1 shot rye
– 1/2 shot Sorel
– 1/4 t ground cinnamon
– 4-5 fresh blackberries
– 1/3 of a fresh clementine, segmented
– ginger ale
1. Brew the tea first. Make sure it is nice and hot, but not boiling, before pouring into cups.
2. Place fruit and spices in a tall mug or cup and cover with tea.
3. Add rye and Sorel and mix well to combine. Top off with ginger ale and enjoy!
What a delicious punch! I was expecting a grog of sorts, and this actually sounds refreshing! I will definitely give this a try…happily. 🙂
I think the ginger ale makes it lighter 🙂 it’s delicious, I hope you enjoy, Debra!
